Meet Kalen

Kalen Gilstrap is an entrepreneur, business owner, and graduate of Murray State College in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in Gunsmithing Technology. Even as a child growing up in Mansfield, Texas, Kalen’s almost “disorderly” attention to detail set him apart—an innate drive he channeled into mastering every facet of his craft. Upon graduation, he secured a once-in-a-lifetime apprenticeship with a world-renowned riflesmith, honing his skills in building world-class precision rifles where every thousandth of an inch matters.

Fueled by that same pursuit of perfection, Kalen and his brother launched KG Roofing & Renovations eight years ago. From day one, he set out not just to raise the bar on craftsmanship in the roofing industry, but to redefine it—outworking competitors through meticulous workmanship, unwavering integrity, and a customer-first mentality rooted in honoring God and reflecting His values in every project. Under his leadership, KG Roofing has steadily expanded its reach and service offerings while remaining steadfast to those core tenets.

Outside the office, Kalen can be found deep in the woods chasing deer, sharing adventures and life lessons with his daughter alongside his wife of ten years. He also continues to run Bee-Line Precision Rifles, his custom rifle business, where he creates functional works of art and keeps his gunsmithing skills razor-sharp. Looking ahead, Kalen is committed to growing KG Roofing into a regional industry leader—one that demonstrates how a company can thrive without ever compromising its moral compass or sacrificing quality for profit.
